Step 1. Preparation

To kick things off, make sure to cover glass work, door number,
letterbox and door handles using masking tape, or you may wish to remove them completely prior to painting your composite door. Also shield the walls surrounding the composite door with masking tape to avoid any overspray and use a protective sheet on the floor to catch any potential drips.

Step 2. Degrease, Purify and Dry

Start by giving your composite door a thorough clean by spraying it with a degreaser, then wipe down with a damp cloth ensuring the surface is thoroughly clean of any lingering contaminants such as dirt, dust or grease.

Step 3. Sand and Dry

Prepare your composite door frame by sanding it to eliminate any irregularities on the surface like old paint, or any impediments that could affect the final finish. Wipe down with a damp cloth for the final time. Always ensure that the surface is completely dry before proceeding with the painting process. Now, you're all set to begin the exciting part of spraying your composite door.

Step 4. Spray and Perfect

Application is a breeze. Spray an even coat over the entire surface of your composite door using long horizontal even strokes, starting from the top of the door and working down to the bottom. Be cautious not to spray too close to the surface; maintaining a distance of approximately 10cm is ideal. Repeat the process until the entire surface is covered, allowing 5 to 10 minutes between each coat. And there you have it— your DIY task is complete. Step back and admire your handywork. Your home now has an ultra-modern composite front door. Designed to resist cracking and peeling for up to 10 years, the weather resistant formula makes it the perfect Composite Door Spray Paint.
