Step 1. Preparation

To kick things off, make sure to shield the walls and floors surrounding your garage door with masking tape and a protective sheet to catch any potential drips.

Step 2. Degrease, Purify and Dry

Start by giving your Garage Door a thorough clean with a degreaser, then wipe down with a damp cloth ensuring the surface is thoroughly clean of any lingering contaminants such as dirt, dust or grease.

Step 3. Sand and Dry

Prepare your Garage Door by sanding it to eliminate any irregularities on the surface like old paint, or any impediments that could affect the final finish. Wipe down with a damp cloth for the final time. Always ensure that the surface is completely dry before proceeding with the painting process.

Now, you're all set to begin the exciting part of painting your garage door.

Step 4. Paint and Perfect

Application is a breeze. From right to left, brush an even coat in horizontal lines over the entire surface of the garage door.

Repeat the process until the entire surface is covered, allowing 30 minutes between each coat.

And there you have it— your DIY task is complete. Step back and admire your handywork. Your home now has an ultra-modern garage door. Self-priming and touch dry in just 3 hours, Innov8 Coatings Garage Door Spray Paint will transform dated and discoloured garage doors and make your home the envy of the entire street.
